Parkways are the grassy areas in the middle of Dakota Avenue, West Park Avenue, and North Guilford Avenue also known as street islands or medians. The City of Columbus has a fund called the Urban Infrastructure Recovery Fund (UIRF) to build sidewalk, bike, and park projects in certain neighborhoods. Some of the funding set aside for Franklinton is being used to build park features like playgrounds, shelters, benches, and walking paths in the parkways.
We would like to know what you would like to see built in the parkways and where you would like it to be built. Please join us at the Columbus Metropolitan Library – Franklinton Branch to share your thoughts.
