Franklinton.org is a community resource guide powered by Franklinton Urban Empowerment Lab (FUEL) with support from CelebrateOne and Summerfield Advertising. The goal is to inform, involve, and connect community members to aid and resources in Franklinton. Resources are divided into 10 categories: emergency services, health & social services, food, housing, education, business & workforce, faith, youth & family, recreation & arts, and government services.
Franklinton Urban Empowerment Lab (FUEL) manages this community resource guide. FUEL has been in business for 26 years as a community development corporation. The non-profit started as a board-led organization that aimed to create affordable homeownership opportunities in Franklinton. To provide increased housing stability, FUEL has increased its development of affordable rental housing in recent years. Residents of Franklinton look to FUEL for various forms of affordable housing units. In the past few years, FUEL has started expanding their outreach into the neighborhood by working with other organizations, implementing economic development and education initiatives, and creating programs to increase self-sufficiency in the residents of Franklinton.
