ABOUT THE BOOK
There’s a Rock on Martin Avenue, co-authored by Sandra Feen and Cliff Treyens, chronicles stories from the real-life “Breakfast Club”—a group of heart-warming seniors bonded together in the last years of life. Through prose and poetry, the authors turn the tables on their parents and friends to reveal experiences from the serious to momentous to hilarious while celebrating the uniqueness inherent to people. With candor, humor, and poignancy, the book examines the ravages of aging that ultimately enrich their caregivers and the reader. It has been nominated for two Pushcart prizes and the 2026 Ohio Book Award.
