Commuting by bike is a great option. It’s thrifty, fun, healthy, good for the planet, and at times more convenient than driving. But cycling on city streets can be intimidating. In these classes, you’ll learn the rules of the road as they pertain to cyclists and your rights as a cyclists. We’ll go on a 7 mile ride together exploring bike lanes, turn boxes, and common traffic situations. Each class will be led by a trained ride leader, while a second ride leader brings up the rear so you can practice in a low stress setting. The rides are totally free and open to everyone who knows how to ride a bike. Those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone must wear a helmet. Loaner helmets and bikes are available.
