At Columbus Metropolitan Library, we work hard to make sure your children have what they need to be successful. Our programs and services vary by branch and include after-school Homework Help, Reading Buddies, Ready for Kindergarten Storytimes, Summer Reading Challenge and much more. We have books and resources to enrich the lives of every member of your family. Stop in! We’re here to help.
School Year Programming:
- Play to Learn: Stop by to play in our Children’s area and work on fun activities with your child. Ages 0-5 on Thursday from 10AM-Noon.
- School Help: Get free help with schoolwork along with computers, school supplies and friendly staff and volunteers to help. Students Kindergarten-12th Grade from Monday-Friday from 3-6PM.
Summer Programming (5/31-7/31/25)
- Family Storytime: Bring the family for books and fun activities to build reading skills on Thursdays from 10:30-11AM for ages 0-5. .
- Play to Learn: Stop by and work on fun activities with your child on Thursdays from 11-11:30AM for ages 0-5. .
- Summer Lunch: Stop by for a free lunch from Children's Hunger Alliance from Monday-Saturday between 12:30-1:15PM for ages 0-18.
- Drop-in Activities: Stop by the library for fun, hands-on activities for ages 7-11 on Mondays-Fridays from 1-3PM.
- Reading Buddies: Be a better reader by reading one-on-one with a buddy (Limited space) on Mondays & Wednesdays from 2-3PM for K-12th grade.
- Drop Everything & Read: Grab a book to join us for reading time on Thursdays from 2-3PM for all ages.
