The Furniture Bank of Central Ohio aims to reduce the impact of poverty by providing essential furniture to families experiencing severe life crises with the goal of strengthening the family unit, improving overall quality of life, and building a better community. The Furniture Bank serves thousands of families each year facing challenges such as housing instability, kinship care responsibilities, job insecurity, domestic violence, and health issues.

FBCO procures furniture and household goods via donations, offering low-cost and free pickup options to Central Ohio individuals and organizations, in addition to volunteer-built pieces, which adhere to industry methods and quality standards.

Families and individuals in need of furniture can schedule appointments to select items at the FBCO showroom after obtaining a referral from any one of 75+ referral partners, a breadth of Central Ohio social service agencies, or other organization such as a faith center, employer, educational institution, healthcare provider, or other social service agency.
