The NVMM's Resilience and Wellness Program connects Veterans and their communities by providing activities that support a healthy mind, body and spirit.The vision is to create an environment fostering a strong sense of belonging, purpose and camaraderie that ultimately results in the development of lifelong friendships and sense of community in the civilian world.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ): Hands-on classes bring world-class instructors and experienced and proven leaders who teach the gentle art of Jiu Jitsu. Our principles include the Jiu Jitsu fundamentals: Teamwork, Respect and Character. The art of Jiu Jitsu helps build confidence, and provides real-world tools to help conquer the challenges participants face each day. Available Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays at 6:30AM; Saturdays & Sundays at 9AM; and Last Sunday of Every Month at 11AM (Women Only BJJ).
Yoga: Relieve stress, build resilience and maintain optimal fitness with our free NVMM Yoga program. Each week, certified yoga teachers will lead each class through basic poses to advanced movements to help you find your inner peace of body and mind. Class types: Slow Flow, Power Flow, Yin/Meditation. Available Thursdays at 6PM; Sundays at 9AM.
We maintain a welcoming and safe learning environment for all levels of experience, whether you have never taken a yoga class or you are an advanced student. Veterans and civilians alike are invited to participate and connect.
